About

My name is Kate and, as a social worker, I am poor. This blog is an account of a personal account of being one of the working poor and a collection of my tips, tricks, and advice to “do poor” correctly.

Things I like: writing, pears, my dog Zelda, hiking, gardens, the color green, homemade quiche, poems, finances, dark chocolate, feminism, and Disney’s The Sword in the Stone.

Things I don’t like: splinters, natural disasters, unnatural disasters, gum, when people are glued to their phone, excessive consumerism, fanatics, Christmas songs being played from January through October.

  1. The font you use more difficult to read than others. Sometimes that will make or break whether or not people read content and continue to explore a site.
